1. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data

For personal data collected through this Microsite, Sazali Samad is responsible for determining the purposes for which that personal data is processed, unless otherwise stated.

We may appoint technology, hosting, database, communications, website-development and other service providers to process personal data on our behalf.

Depending on how you use the Microsite, we may collect your email address, mobile or WhatsApp number, communication preferences, consent records and information you voluntarily submit.

If you register through Google or another sign-in provider, we may receive information made available through that service, such as your name, email address or account identifier, depending on the permissions authorised.

Technical information may also be generated or collected, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language selection, access date and time, security logs, referral information and cookie or similar identifiers where applicable.

3. How We Collect Personal Data

Personal data may be collected directly from you when you submit information or provide consent, through Google or another sign-in service, automatically through normal website and server operation, through cookies or similar technologies, and through appointed service providers acting on our behalf.

4. Why We Process Your Personal Data

Your personal data may be used to register your interest, confirm your registration, inform you when the Digital Home launches, send authorised Sazali Samad news and updates, manage communication preferences and consent, respond to enquiries, maintain security, diagnose technical problems, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain records, analyse general usage where applicable, comply with legal requirements and protect legitimate rights and security.

We will not use personal data for incompatible purposes unless permitted by law or appropriate further consent has been obtained.

5. Is Providing Your Personal Data Mandatory?

Viewing public content does not generally require contact information. Providing an email address and/or mobile or WhatsApp number is voluntary, but the relevant contact information is required if you wish to register for Sazali Samad updates.

6. Consent and Communications

Where required, we will obtain your consent before sending communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by using an unsubscribe mechanism, requesting that communications stop through the relevant channel, or emailing legal@sazalisamad.my.

We may retain limited information necessary to record and respect your opt-out preference.

Sazali Samad does not sell your personal data. Where reasonably necessary, personal data may be disclosed to authorised personnel, technology and hosting providers, database and IT providers, email and messaging providers, professional advisers, Launch48+ service providers, Google where you elect to use Google services, WhatsApp/Meta where those channels are used, and authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Service providers processing personal data on our behalf are expected to handle it only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate security obligations.

8. International Transfers

Some technology, hosting, authentication, messaging or cloud providers may operate infrastructure outside Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the transfer complies with applicable Malaysian requirements and appropriate protection is provided.

If Google sign-in is available and you choose to use it, Google may process information independently under its own terms and privacy practices. We will seek only the information made available through the permissions required for registration.

If you provide a mobile or WhatsApp number and consent to communications through WhatsApp or another messaging service, information relating to those communications may also be processed by the relevant platform provider under its own terms and privacy practices.
